You're going to read this page, and one of two things is going to happen: You will either think "wow, she's awesome, I never knew.." Or you will think "Yeah, just what I always thought. Nicole's gone mad." Either way, I expect you to keep reading... let it be like one of those scary movies during which you try to cover your eyes, but find yourself peeking through the cracks... Let us start at the beginning.. I'm 5' tall, which makes me a tad (ahem) on the short side. I'm a flower child at heart, and often you'll see it shine through to the outside. I'm a very expressive person which I've found usually sets people at ease because they feel free to speak their minds. What you see is what you get, because one thing I'm not is fake. The people who know me best will vouch for that one. To me, self-expession includes writing, art, music, and body piercing. All of which I love. I find sanctuary in every Beatles tune. John Lennon is my personal hero, and I try to shape my own life after his. I wear these tiny purple glasses in his memory. John lived for peace, and John died for peace. Sounds a lot like Jesus Christ, doesn't it? Now, before I get emails complaining of sacrelige, let me tell you, I was raised a Catholic. My musical interests range from Otis Redding, to the likes of Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, to the Beatles, and even Reel Big Fish. Favorite authors include Shel Silverstein and J.D. Salinger, though I'd rather read biography than fiction. Poetry is great release, though I don't write nearly as often as I draw. I paint. I sculpt. I am an artist to the soul and will be going to IUP for art next year. I am 17 years old, turning 18 in May, and have finally found someone that teaches me that real love isn't something found in a romance novel. Its true, from the heart, and though past experiences have taken me along rocky roads, Adam brings me back to where I feel safe and cared for again. Thank you, my Adam. His picture is on my "friends pictures" page..he's the cute one :) I'm a Thrift Store shopaholic. I just might need a support group. Vintage clothes are best, but I'll settle for a little boys' tee shirt with a crazy saying written on it. I was just accepted to the Robert E. Cook Honors College at IUP. So, starting next fall, I'll be living down the hall from my Adam, as an art major with a minor in journalism. Feel free to send me a message. My AOL IM screen name is LaurasSocks. |
